VIDEO PREMIERE: Quebec's Vantablack Warship deliver heavy hardcore and tar thick sludge on "Blood on the Mat"

Once again, Canada’s molten cauldron of metal, its crucible of carnage, spews forth a new release from one of its fine bands, the splendidly named Vantablack Warship. Formed by veterans of the Quebec metal scene (Arseniq33, Ghoulunatics, Brutal Chérie, Foreshadow, Les Ékorchés, Buffalo Theory Mtl), this Montreal quintet are a band to keep an eye on if you like throat shredding vocals, groove laden riffs and thought provoking lyrics, this band are certain to cause eargasm if you’re a fan of Cancer Bats, Gallows, Every Time I Die.

Following their  well received 2015 self titled  debut EP Vantablack Warship are back with their new album "Abrasive Pulmonic Speak" which is set for release on Jan 26th, 2018.  The new album features eight tracks of solid riffage, from heavy hardcore to tar thick sludge, these tracks are moshpit anthem with dirty in your face vocals ready to destroy. Tracks like “Blood On The Mat”, a graphic account of women in the UFC to “The Blackhole” about Raider Nation football fans and “Another Dead Rockstar”, not to be taken too literally, about washed up musicians still chasing the dream, but in the end sowing a path of disrepute and shame. These tracks all have a story to tell.  Today ahead of the release in couple of weeks, you can check out the track “Blood on the Mat” below, as well an insight into the track from the band. The link you need to pick up the album is here

"The lyrics to Vantablack Warship’s “Blood on the Mat” where written by a woman who wishes to remain anonymous. They are purposefully graphic to invite the reader to reflect on why we choose to live in a society where people pay to watch women inflict pain on each other for the profit of others. This in turn continues to normalize violence. Vantablack Warship strictly condemns all forms of violence against and amongst women."
